Folks know that Woodard’s Fort Worth roots go way back (9 decades, but who’s counting?), so our clients and newcomers to our city frequently ask us for referrals on a variety of services. As you would expect, many of these requests are for attorneys, CPAs, or doctors. But we also get asked about jewelers, electricians, plumbers, and once for a mudman (tape and bedder).
We detest bad service, which is too common in the fast-paced, out-sourced modern business world, and we want to reward good service. So we created this new Woodard Recommends page to compile the best of the best, those vendors who in the opinion of Woodard employees meet the very high service standards we hold for ourselves.
We have excluded doctors, attorneys, and CPAs from this listing for one simple reason: Most of you are our customers, and we don’t want to alienate you by listing your competition! So if you are seeking a doctor, attorney, or CPA, just call us for a recommendation.
Here are the criteria a vendor must meet in order to be listed:
- Woodard personnel have personally used these vendors. Hearsay from neighbors, friends, clients, or family won’t earn you a place on this website.
- With only two exceptions, none of the vendors has a reciprocal relationship with Woodard. These truly are unbiased referrals.
- The vendor must exhibit integrity in all his business dealings.
- The vendor must have expertise in his field.
- The vendor’s pricing must result in a good value. However, we are not looking for the lowest bidders.
- The vendor must be customer centered, not sales centered.
- The vendor must stand behind its product when things go wrong. The truest test of a company is in how it treats you when things go wrong.
If you use one of our recommendations, please tell us about your experience, good, bad, or ugly. If our vendors don’t take good care of you, we’ll de-list them!
