In January 2009, Christine joined our team at Woodard Insurance, LLP, as our securities operations intern and is now securities operations manager. Christine is an exceptionally bright individual with the maturity of someone twice her age. She takes very seriously her important job of keeping track of our clients’ investments, preparing their periodic reviews, ensuring their trades are executed properly, and otherwise keeping her employers out of jail.
Christine graduated 6th in her class of 400 from Birdville High School in 2007. This makes her one of four persons at Woodard who graduated in the top 10 (10 persons, not 10 percent) of their high school class.
Christine graduated a semester early from TCU's M.J. Neeley School of Business in December 2010 and was the top accounting major in her class. Christine then graduated at the top of her class at TCU again in May 2012, earning a Masters of Accounting (MAc). Christine was not your typical M.J. Neeley business student, however, as her right brain is just as engaged as her left brain, which makes her unique at Woodard, where the rest of us are left-sided or right-sided half-wits.
Christine is an accomplished pianist and was the first chair flautist in the TCU Wind Symphony in 2008-2009. Christine was one of the three drum majors of the TCU Marching Band in 2009-2010 and was the lead drum major in 2010-2011. Christine ended her drum major and band career by leading the TCU Marching Band down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, CA, in the Tournament of Roses Parade on a chilly New Year's Day morning 2011 and then later at the Rose Bowl, where TCU beat Wisconsin 21-19.
In an office full of Horned Frogs (and a token Ram and Bear), Christine’s blood runs unusually dark purple, and we suspect she had something to do with her sister Corinne starting at TCU in the fall of 2009 and graduating in May 2013 with a degree in Elementary Music Education. GO FROGS!!!
Outside of the office and school, Christine enjoys scrapbooking, playing the piano and flute, as well as hanging out with her quaker parrot, Sydney, or as Blake likes to call her, "Cat Snack."
Christine and Jake King married in June 2012. We barely got used to calling her "Master" after she earned her MAc, and now we say "All hail the King!"
Christine is taking her CPA exams in the summer of 2012. She will leave her friends at Woodard in September 2012 and join Ernst & Young as a tax accountant. We are sad to see Christine leave but excited for her future. Job well done, Christine!
